Tintoretto
Dubbed “Il Furioso”, The Furious, by his contemporaries for his phenomenal energy in painting and rebellious soul, Tintoretto was one of the greatest exponents of the Venetian school of painting. This walk is a homage to the artist and his Venice.
Deep in the heart of the Cannaregio district is the Bottega del Tintoretto, an artisan printing shop in what was the workshop and home of the great 16th century master. The workshop’s heritage lives on: it has become a studio in which to experiment with the technique of hand-made engraving with old machinery, salvaged from now-defunct Venetian printing works.
The next stop is the Church of Madonna Dell’ Orto, home to 10 canvases by the artist and called for this reason – and the fact that he is buried here – “Tintoretto’s church”.

- The experience must be booked at least 14 days in advance
- A 30% payment is required at the time of booking.
- The 70% balance is required 3 days before the experience.
Cancellation policies:
- 30% refund is provided for cancellations received within 14 days of the experience date
- for cancellations received between 13 days and 4 days prior to the experience date, 30% will be applied as a penalty
- for cancellations received 3 days before arrival and beyond, 100% of the amount will be applied as a penalty
